Despite all the opposition from BJP and the Center, the Congress government bought farmers’ paddy.
Raipur / 07 February 2022. 98 lakh meters on the last day of paddy procurement. State Congress President Mohan Markam has described the purchase of ton of paddy and the sale of paddy by more than 22 lakh farmers as a big achievement of the Bhupesh government of Congress. This figure of paddy procurement is not final yet. Farmers who have registered themselves. Whose paddy has reached the procurement center. After weighing their entire paddy, this figure will increase further. This is the biggest paddy purchase ever since the formation of the state. Out of all the farmers who had registered, 95 percent farmers have sold their paddy.
State Congress President Mohan Markam said that BJP is shedding crocodile tears by demanding extension of paddy procurement date. Tell the BJP for whom it is demanding to extend the date of purchase of paddy. 95 percent of the registered farmers have sold their paddy, the remaining 5-6 percent get registered, they do not sell the paddy, they only have produce suitable for their personal consumption. BJP is demanding extension of date for selling paddy to coaches and touts. When BJP was in government, 12 to 16 lakh farmers used to sell paddy. The area of Chhattisgarh is the same, after the formation of the Congress government, this year paddy has been purchased from 22 lakh farmers. This shows the attitude of Congress and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel towards farmers.
State Congress President Mohan Markam said that BJP has made every effort to disrupt the procurement of paddy in Chhattisgarh. His central government has refused to take that rice in the central bridge. The Center did not give enough gunny bags to Chhattisgarh for the purchase of paddy, yet the Congress government has made its own arrangements and bought the entire paddy of the farmers. Even in the case of gunny bags, BJP leaders of Chhattisgarh tried to ensure that the state did not get full gunny bags so that the state could not buy paddy. Despite all the conspiracies of the BJP, the Congress is standing with the government and has broken its own old record by buying the entire paddy of the farmers.
